Heather’s work embodies Speros’ firm belief in excellent customer service, which means that she’ll do everything in her power to recommend the best solutions for your specific needs.

If someone has a question, there’s a very good chance that Jeri knows the answer.

Kristin uses her extensive knowledge to directly benefit customers. Her favorite thing about working at Speros is using her expertise to solve problems and create positive experiences. Making customers happy is her core motivation!

Outside of work, Kristin prioritizes family time. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially at the beach, and their cats. Kristin also juggles a busy schedule driving her daughter to various activities!

Chip has an impressive 35-year career in the Savannah/Hinesville area, dating back to his return from the US Navy in 1984. His expertise spans a wide range of phone and voicemail systems, with certifications in industry leaders like Comdial, Toshiba, and Cisco. Chip’s knowledge extends beyond phones, encompassing certifications in Cisco and Adtran network routing and switching equipment. He enjoys working for a leader like Susan Speros, whose commitment to customer service is evident in every part of the company, creating a fulfilling work environment.

Outside of work, Chip enjoys fishing and golfing– but these days, he spends much of his time with his seven grandchildren!

Modern Phone Systems for a Flexible Workplace

Today’s workplace looks a lot different than it did even just a few years ago. Our workforce today thrives on flexibility and the ability to collaborate from anywhere. While the way we work has evolved, phones aren’t going anywhere. Despite the rise of video conferencing and chat applications, voice communication remains a critical pillar of business communication. A clear, concise, and friendly phone call can achieve this more quickly and effectively than a chain of emails or texts.

The Next Generation of Desk Phones

Physical desk phones are always evolving to allow for more flexibility! Softphones– or software-based phones– look and act like traditional phones but with plenty more features. They allow you to make calls using the internet rather than a traditional phone line.

This means that you can make and receive calls using your desk phone– but that you’re also able to do the same from your mobile phone when you’re out of the office or just away from your desk. Programs like Webex and Microsoft Teams let you make a call from your office number even from your cell phone; your outbound caller ID is displayed as your office number from your cell phone when making a call using the app. 

Consider the following– how often do you answer your phone when you’re receiving a call from an unfamiliar number? The answer is probably “never”. But with softphones, calls display as your office number along with the name of your company– which makes people much more likely to answer.

The new freedom that comes along with softphones means a seamless transition between your office, your home, or anywhere else with an internet or mobile data connection. It means that you’re available whenever and wherever clients need you. Plus, it integrates voice calls, video conferencing, instant messaging, and more into a single platform to enable open communication and maximum efficiency.

During off hours when you’re enjoying time with your family or relaxing away from the office, you can also easily determine whether a call is a business or personal call, since a business call will appear through your Webex or Microsoft Teams app– and if you decide not to answer, their voicemail will be sent to you your office voicemail (not your personal cell voicemail!), plus a transcription will be sent to your email, for you to check out when you have the time. You can also adjust notification settings on your phone to make sure that no business calls come through after 5:00 PM, without causing you to miss personal calls!
